Right now, according to the IEA, solar PV already produces around 5% of global electricity demand.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12793 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.topcable.com\/blog-electric-cable\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/utility.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"522\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12793 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.topcable.com\/blog-electric-cable\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/utility.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"522\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<h2><strong>To reach 1000 gigawatts of solar power by 2030<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to the European industry association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowereurope.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SolarPowerEurope<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/observatoriorenovables.org\/datos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Commission&#8217;s Renewable Energy Observatory<\/a> (EurObserv&#8217;ER), it is estimated that Europe will install 100 gigawatts per year from 2025.
