The CPR includes four classes that apply directly to electrical cables:&nbsp; <strong>A<sub>ca, <\/sub>B1<sub>ca<\/sub>, B2<sub>ca<\/sub>, C<sub>ca<\/sub>, D<sub>ca<\/sub>, E<sub>ca<\/sub> and F<sub>ca<\/sub><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At present time national ragulations have been established across Europe specifying CPR Classes between B2<sub>ca<\/sub> and E<sub>ca<\/sub>. The indsutry accordingly supplying products with this range of perfomance. These classes refer to combustible cables ranked in order of fire growth rate (FIGRA) and heat release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"cpr-certificate-classification\"><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CPR CERTIFICATE CLASSIFICATION<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cables classified as B2 and C are those with maximum performance against fire, providing <strong>maximum protection to people and equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cables belonging to classes D and E have <strong>a more basic level of safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Additional levels of c<\/span>lassification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three additional classification levels have been established; these refer to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>opacity of smoke emitted <\/strong>(s = smoke)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>droplets <\/strong>released by the cable in combustion (d = droplets)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>acidity <\/strong>\u2013 or toxicity \u2013 of the smoke (a = acidity)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1.Smoke opacity <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following performance criteria for smoke emission have been established:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>s1: <\/strong>Little production and slow propagation of smoke<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>s1a: <\/strong>S1 with visibility over 80% (UNE-EN 61034-2).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>s1b: <\/strong>S1 with visibility over 60% and below 80% (UNE-EN 61034-2).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>s2: <\/strong>Intermediate values of production and propagation of smoke<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>s3: <\/strong>Neither s1 or s2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Fall of droplets during combustion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following performance criteria for droplets \/ flamed particles have been established:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>d0: <\/strong>No fall of droplets or flamed particles(UNE-EN 50399).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>d1: <\/strong>Fall of droplets and flamed particles that persist for less than 10 seconds(UNE-EN 50399).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>d2: <\/strong>Neither d0 or d1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Smoke acidity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following performance criteria for acidity have been established:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>a1: <\/strong>Low acidity (UNE-EN 60754-2 conductivity &lt;2,5ms\/mm y pH &gt; 4.3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>a2: <\/strong>Intermediate values of acid (UNE-EN 60754-2 conductivity &lt;10 ms\/mm y pH &gt; 4.3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>a3: <\/strong>Neither a1 or a2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Classes E ca and F ca have no additional classification criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"a-single-european-cpr-certification\"><\/span>A SINGLE EUROPEAN CPR CERTIFICATION<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CPR certificate performance code (reaction to fire class and additional classification) must appear on the cable labelling, together with the other marks.
